Burgh Island

Visit Burgh Island

Burgh Island has a character all of its own. Located just across from Bigbury on Sea, visitors can take the ‘tractor bus’ which ferries passengers over the causeway at high tide. Other than the natural beauty of the island itself the main attraction is the 1920s Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel.

Did you Know? Burgh Island has had a glamourous following since the 1920’s and is where Agatha Christie stayed and wrote several of her novels.
