Swanpool Beach

Visit Swanpool Beach

Swanpool Beach is a popular sandy beach in Falmouth, on the South Cornwall coast. Backed by colouful beach huts, there is a cafe on the beach front for snacks and refreshments and facilities available.

This is a great beach for watersports. Home to a watersports school that offers equipment hire and lessons for activities such as kayaking, sailing, coasteering, and raft building. This makes it an excellent place for both beginners and experienced water sports enthusiasts.

The charming beach huts at Swanpool Beach are available for seasonal hire. However, due to their popularity, there is often a long waiting list.

Just behind Swanpool Beach lies a brackish lagoon, known as Swanpool Lake, which is a mix of fresh and salt water. The lagoon is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and haven for nature lovers, home to over 100 species of birds.

The beach is just a 20 minute walk to the town centre. Walkers can take the South West Coast Path along to Gyllyngvase Beach

There is easy access with a large car park right next to the beach.
