Visit Porthkerris Beach
Porthkerris Beach is located on the east side of the Lizard peninsula in South Cornwall. It’s a large pebble beach that’s a bit off the beaten path, and usually pretty quiet. The beach, known locally as simply ‘Kerris’, is part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so you can expect some gorgeous scenery!
It’s considered one of the best shore diving spots in the UK! The Porthkerris Dive Centre is right on the beach, and they offer all sorts of diving facilities. Whether you’re a newbie or an experienced diver, they’ve got you covered. You can get training for various diving qualifications like PADI and BSAC, rent equipment, and even join boat trips to nearby dive sites like the Manacles reef.

There is good fishing here, and it is a popular location with divers arriving to explore the Manacle Rocks (Mên Eglos).
Porthkerris Beach is dog-friendly all year round!
