Gunwalloe Church Cove

Visit Gunwalloe Church Cove

Gunwalloe Church Cove near Helston, on the south Cornwall coast, is a picture postcard destination, with its sandy beach and stunning scenery

There is a beach cafe serving snacks and ice cream, which is open during the summer months and toilets are available. This charming spot, just a couple of miles from Berepper is usually fairly quiet, but definitly worth a visit.

It is named after the nearby St. Winwaloe’s Church, which is perched on the cliffs overlooking the beach. The church itself is a historic site, dating back to the 12th century, and adds a unique charm to the area.

The nearest parking is a National Trust Car Park on the cliffs above neighbouring Dollar Cove, one of the beaches in Gunwalloe.

Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach dogs are allowed on the beach all year except from July 1st to August 31st, when dogs are banned from the beach between 10am and 6pm. Outside of these dates and times, dogs are allowed on the beach, making it a dog-friendly location for most of the year
