Castle Beach – Falmouth

Visit Castle Beach

Castle Beach is situated just along Cliff road from Gyllyngvase Beach and is the most northern of all the Falmouth beaches.

While there are no lifeguards here, the beach is safe for swimming, especially among local groups who often meet in the mornings to enjoy a swim. Just be sure to check the tide times and conditions before heading in!

The beach is popular for snorkeling and diving, especially around the wartime wrecks offshore. Dive UK, a local PADI Dive Centre, offers opportunities for both beginners and experienced divers to explore the underwater environment.

Walk along the Point to Pendennis Castle, the imposing coastal fortresses built by Henry VIII, for the best views across Falmouth Bay.

Castle Beach tends to get busy during the summer months. Being one of the closest beaches to Falmouth town center, it attracts locals and visitors looking to enjoy the sun, sea, and sand.
