Penhale Sands

Visit Penhale Sands

Penhale Sands or Perran Sands on the North Cornwall coast is a wide open beach backed by Cornwall’s largest sand dunes.

Directly behind the beach over the dunes are a number of holiday camping and caravan parks.

For lovers of history this beach is thought to be the landing place of Saint Piran from Ireland and St Pirans Cross and ruins of St Pirans Oratory are a short walk across the dunes.

Penhale Sands Beach is a popular Kite Surfing destination.

The village of Perranporth is nearby and has shops and restaurants.

This dog friendly beach is great for long walks all year round.
