Studland Shell Beach

Visit Shell Bay Beach

Shell Bay is the most northerly of Studland’s beaches with views over Sandbanks and Poole Habour, on the Isle of Purbeck.

Enjoy the lovely sandy beach, enjoying a game of beach volleyball and stop in at the Shell Bay Seafood Restaurant & Bistro.

Shell Bay Beach is at the very start (or finish) of the South West Coast Path, with a steel sculpture marking the spot.

Sailing and boating is available here with the Shell Bay Sailing, an RYA recognised training centre offereing lessons and boat hire.

The Studland Peninsula is owned by the National Trust and there is parking and toilets close to all four of Studland’s beaches.

From here you can take the 5 minute ferry journey, from the Shell Bay Terminal, across to Sandbanks.

This beach is …

  • A sandy beach
  • Great for sailing

Have a great day out along the coast.
