Visit Lyme Regis Town Beach
Popular Lyme Regis Town Beach in the heart of the Jurassic Coast is perfect for families with activities for both young and old. The promenade backs the beach and stretches the length of the town. While most of the beach is pebble, towards the west near ‘The Cobb’, there is a sandy area perfect for families.
It was at the cliffs at Lyme Regis that by Mary Anning made the famous discovery of the Ichthyosaur in 1819
There are plenty of places to eat and drink, with cafes, shops, pubs, inns and restaurants along the seafront.
Dog friendly during the winter. Between 1st April – 31st October dogs are not allowed between Cobb Gate Car Park to the Lifeboat slipway.
