Hill Head Beach

Visit Hill Head Beach

Hill Head Beach is south of Stubbington in Fareham on the Hampshire coast. It is a shingle beach, backed by colourful beach huts along the seawall.

This beach doesn’t tend to get too crowded, so it is a great place for a day out in the summer. The surrounding area is residential, so the beach is unspoilt and relaxed. With views looking out over the Solent to the Isle of Wight, it is a good spot for sailing, kitesurfing, and fishing.

There are several kitesurfing schools that operate in this area.

On the eastern side of the beach is the Hill Head Sailing Club, parking and public toilets. Keep walking east and you get to the harbour.

If you are seeking wildlife, head to the Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve, beyond the harbour. Take the trails, with plenty of hides to observe the birds from throughout.

Dogs are not allowed on the main part of the beach from May 1st to September 30th, but there are designated areas where dogs can be walked year-round.
