Visit Eastney Beach
Eastney Beach is a long, pebble beach located at the southeastern end of Portsea Island in Hampshire, near Portsmouth. Stretching from the start of Eastney Esplanade by the Canoe Lake all the way to Fort Cumberland.
If you’re into water sports, Eastney Beach is a great place to be! You can swim, windsurf, or even try your hand at fishing. There are designated zones for water sports, making it a lively spot for enthusiasts.
The eastern section of the beach is known as Eastney Naturist Beach, frequented by nudists. Although not officially designated as a naturist beach, it has a long-standing tradition for those who prefer to enjoy the sun without clothes.
When it comes to amenities, you’ll find plenty of parking along Eastney Esplanade, including spots for those with disabilities. There are public toilets at the eastern end, and if you get hungry, there’s a café nearby where you can grab a bite to eat.

Eastney Beach Dogs Policy
Dogs are allowed year-round, but from 1 May to 30 September they are permitted only between 8am and 6pm.
They are re allowed at the end of Eastney Beach and from Clarence Pier to Old Portsmouth all year round.
Off-lead is fine in allowed areas, but leads are sensible near roads and crowds. Early mornings and evenings suit dogs who prefer peace over picnics.
