Visit Benone Beach
Award winning Benone Strand, in Limavady, County Derry. One of the most popular beaches and favourite tourist destination in Northern Ireland.
This beach has won the prestigious Blue Flag Award many times over the years. The seven mile golden sandy beach is backed by Benone’s sand dunes with views across to Donegal.
A nature lovers paradise as Benone sand dunes are part of the Binevenagh Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), an Area of Special Scientific Interest (ASSI) and part of the Magilligan Special Area of Conservation (SAC).
Swimming is safe and there are lifeguards on duty from June to early September. There are zoned areas for watersports including surfing, jetskis and kayaking.
This beach is accessable with free car parking on the beach front as well as disabled toilets and disabled parking.
Dogs are allowed on Benone Beach with restriction from the 1st June – 15th September.
