West Kirby Beach

Visit West Kirby Beach

West Kirby is a small sandy beach on the The Dee Estuary Coast. It is a popular destination during the holidays and can get very busy.

Marine Lake

Next to the beach is Marine Lake, a 52 acre, five foot deep saltwater lake, with a walkway around it. On the south side of the lake is the West Kirby Sailing School.

Hilbre Islands

At low tide, you can walk across to Hilbre Islands. Always check the tide times as it is easy to get cut off quickly.

Great for long walks, West Kirby beach is dog friendly all year round but must be kept on a lead when on Hilbre Islands.
