Visit Pensarn Beach
Pensarn Beach, located just outside the town of Abergele in Conwy, North Wales, is a charming shingle and pebble beach known for its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities.
Pensarn Beach shares a seven mile stretch of beach with neighbouring Abergele.
It’s very family-friendly. Kids can play safely, and there are some nice cafes and shops nearby, so you can grab a bite to eat or a drink while you’re there. Plus, the promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll or a bike ride.
There is kayaking and windsurfing here. And if you enjoy walking, you can hop on the Wales Coastal Path, which runs along the beach. It’s a fantastic way to take in the scenery.
Did you Know? The first person to swim the English Channel was Captain Matthew Webb (1848 – 1883), who prepared for this historic swim at Pensarn Beach.
Pensarn Beach is actually home to some rare plants and wildlife, which makes it quite special. It’s designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest
Dog friendly all year, but restricted from 1st May and 30th September between the embedded wooden posts by the café and the embedded concrete posts at the western end of the promenade.
