Portmeirion Beach

Portmeirion is the only beach in Gwynedd with a strict no-dogs policy all year round. The policy prohibits all dogs, except for registered assistance or guide dogs, from entering the grounds of Portmeirion, which includes the beach area. This regulation is in place to protect the natural environment and ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors, as dogs can disturb wildlife and other guests

Many beaches enforce restrictions from May 1 to September 30, which include popular spots such as Aberdyfi Beach and Tywyn Beach, where dogs are not allowed on certain stretches.
