Porthgwidden Beach

Visit Porthgwidden Beach

Porthgwidden Beach in St Ives is known locally as ‘The Island Beach’. It is one of the smaller beaches in the area but is renowned for its picturesque setting and family-friendly atmosphere.

The beach is easily accessible from St Ives town center, just a five-minute walk away. It is ideal for a day by the seaside. Smaller than neighbouring Porthmeor Beach, the sea is safe for swimming and has a range of beach huts available for rent.

Dogs are welcome on the beach when a seasonal dog ban is in place during the holidays.
