Visit Mousehole Beach

The picturesque traditional fishing village of Mousehole is just a couple of miles south of Penzance, between Newlyn and Lamorna.

Mousehole Beach (pronounced Mowzzull), a tiny beach covered with granite boulders but sandy at low tide is a great spot take boat trips and go deep sea fishing.

Looking out through the mouth of the hatbour is is St Clement’s Isle. It is said that a hermit once lived on this small rocky island.

The coastal path runs from Mousehole Beach around the peninsula to St Ives and offers breathtaking views majestic coastline.

Did you Know? The village, once a thriving pilchard port and famously described by the poet Dylan Thomas as ‘the loveliest village in England’.
