North Cornwall’s Watergate Bay near the village of Tregurrian, is a two mile stretch of golden sand looking out over the Atlantic Ocean.

This award winning Newquay beach on the South West Coast Path consistently tops ‘Best Beach’ lists and attracts holiday makers and beach lovers every summer. The Watergate Hotel sits right on the beach and there are local facilities and restaurants, including Jamie Oliver Fifteen restaurant, as well as plenty of places to stay with self catering properties and camping sites nearby.

Surfing and Water Sports

The beach one of Cornwall’s top surfing beaches and is popular with surfers and water sports enthusiasts. Sporting events are held on the beach and it is home to the surf schools, open all year round, where you can test your skills with kite-boarding, paddle-surfing and wake-skiing along two-mile beach.
