Visit Porth Beach
Just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Newquay, Porth Beach is a number one choice for families, a huge wide golden sandy beach, safe for kids to run around, play and build sandcastles. The beach is safe for swimming and there are RNLI lifeguards on duty in the Summer.
The beach is on the South West Coast Path and walkers can follow it to Porth Island, which can be reached over the footbridge to the blow hole.
There are plenty of places to stay with hotels and holiday parks nearby. Over looking the beach is the Glendorgal Hotel beach-themed rooms with panoramic coastal views.
For a seaside break, the Porth Beach house offers stylish and modern self-catering accommodation and Porth Veor Villas and Apartments are located just 3 minutes walk from the Beach front.
This beach is dog friendly between 1 October and 30 April with restrictions in the summer.
