Cardiff Bay

Visit Cardiff Bay

Cardiff Bay it is situated within the city of Cardiff, which is the capital of Wales. Historically, Cardiff was part of the county of Glamorgan, but it has since been designated as a separate unitary authority area.

If you are travelling along this part of the Welsh coast, you can still follow the Wales Coast Path.

The Cardiff section of the Wales Coast Path is a lovely walk that stretches for about 10 miles. It connects Newport to the east and Penarth to the west, giving you a chance to enjoy some beautiful views along the way!

As part of this route, walkers can enjoy scenic views along the seawall, which includes access to Cardiff Bay via a series of canals. The path features various attractions such as the Wales Millennium Centre, the Norwegian Church, and the Cardiff Bay Barrage, which provides excellent views over the Bristol Channel and the surrounding area.
