Visit West Wittering Beach
West Wittering Beach, located near the mouth of Chichester Harbour in West Sussex, has been a favourite destination for a family day out for years.
This huge sandy beach is great for splashing about in the shallow water for children of all ages, and adults too! Lifeguards are on duty from May to September.
Whether you are sunbathing, swimming, paddleboarding, windsurfing, or kite surfing, the shallow waters and sandy flats at low tide are ideal.
There are lots activities taking place at this beach, from windsurfing, kitesurfing and a kitebuggying season running from mid September till May. Horse riders can use the beach all year, however during the summer (from May to September) riding on the beach is allowed before 9.00am and after 6.00pm.
Head up the beach towards East Head to the sand dunes.
This beach is dog friendly all year, but from May to September restricted in the area in front of the beach huts.
