Lancing Beach

Visit Lancing Beach

Lancing Beach is just along from Widewater Lagoon on the West Sussex Coast. This beach is mainly shingle but when the tide is out a sandy beach is exposed.

It is a great place for a coastal walk with the dogs, and is dog friendly all year round. There is even a dog friendly cafe on the beach.

You can swim at Lancing beach, and each year between May and the end of September there is a designated swimming zone, marked with buoys.

Kitesurfers come to this beach and you will often see them out in the water. There is a designated zone for windsurfing and kitesurfing here.

The Lancing Sailing Club is here on the beach front. If you want to learn to sail, this is a great spot.
