Elmer Sands Beach

Visit Elmer Sands Beach

Elmer Sands Beach, in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, boasts a long pebble coastline lined with wooden groynes and rocky sea defences. While the beach lacks facilities, it is a great place to escape for a long stroll with scenic views. Even on hot summer days, Elmer Sands is relatively quiet, so don’t forget to bring snacks and drinks, as there are no shops or facilities nearby.

The beach is backed by residential streets and farmland as you head east towards Climping. At high tide, the beach disappears, but you can still enjoy a leisurely walk along the seafront path. As the tide goes out, large areas of sandy beach is exposed, with rockpools to explore.

Popular with local dog walkers, Elmer Sands beach is dog-friendly year-round, providing ample space for your four-legged friend to run and play.
