Visit Calshot Beach
Calshot Beach is part of a shingle spit which lies on the Hampshire coast. There are rows of multi coloured beach huts, and fabulous views of the Solent, Southampton and the Isle of Wight.
It is popular with wind and kitesurfers and there is safe swimming in the lagoon. You can hire a kayak or go windurfing.
If you are looking for a family friendly place to go sailing in the Solent, the Calshot Sailing Club is right on the beach with a welcoming clubhouse.
The spit also has an large saltmarsh area for those who love wildlife. There has even been a rare sighting of Thor The Walrus!, he made an appearance in December 2022.
Calshot beach is dog friendly, but look out for the signs when walking, there may some times when you need to keep them on a lead.
