Visit Barton on Sea Beach

Barton on Sea Beach, is found on the eastern end of Christchurch Bay, on the Hampshire coast. Famous for its stretch of coastline with safe swimming and a cliff top golf course.

The Barton on Sea Golf course backs the eastern side of the beach. With fantastic views looking out over the English Channel.

Have dinner in a clifftop restaurant and pop into the beach side cafe.

As you head down the beach, which is backed by grassy cliffs, the further to the middle you go, the less busy it is on a hot summers day. Relax on the beach, look out for fossils and have a swim.

To the west of the beach there are holiday parks on the cliff top, beyond Marine Drive.

There are car parks along Marine Drive, both east and west.

Being just a mile east of the Hampshire / Dorset county border, you can walk along the beach to Highcliffe.

Barton on Sea beach is a lovely place to walk the dog. There are no restrictions from October til April, with restrictions during the summer.
