Cuckmere Haven Beach is a lovely pebble beach located on the beautiful East Sussex coast. It’s a fantastic spot for anyone who loves nature and stunning views!

The beach is famous for its breathtaking views of the Seven Sisters cliffs. These iconic white chalk cliffs rise high above the beach and are perfect for taking photos or just admiring the scenery.

The Cuckmere River runs through the beach and it is possible to cross the river at low tide, by wading through the shallow water. At high tide head towards the Cuckmere Inn where there is a bridge you can cross.

This side of the beach is backed by the Seven Sisters Country Park. This a great place is great for birdwatchers and nature lovers to enjoy long bracing walks, observing the huge variety of wildlife.

Did you Know? This beach was commonly used by smugglers in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.

There’s a café/restaurant nearby where you can grab a bite to eat or a drink. Just check if it’s open when you visit, as hours can vary.

Cuckmere Haven Beach is dog-friendly all year round. You can bring your furry friends to the beach, and they can enjoy the day with you.
