Magilligan Point Beach

Visit Magilligan Point Beach

Magilligan Point has a lovely long sandy strech beach along the peninsula backed by one of the largest sand dune systems in the British Isles.

A wonderful place for bird lovers and birdwatchers for seabirds, migrating waders and wildfowl.

The nature reserve is also home to the a Ministry of Defence (MOD) firing range.

At the northern tip is a ferry terminal and a restaurant! Stop in for a bite to eat at the The Point Bar & Restaurant after a day on the beach and relax and take in the great views.

The Lough Foyle Scenic Ferry is a 15 minute journey from Magilligan point across to Greencastle.
