Portrush West Strand Beach on the Antrim Coast is a popular family friendly seaside destination.

Walk along the beach to the harbour and have a bite to eat in the beach side cafe or take the kids to the amusements.

The promenade runs along the beach front, great for cyling and jogging. The beach looks out towards Island Dhu, a wildlife refuge popular with bird lovers.

Swimming is safe and there are lifeguards on duty through July and August.

There are plenty of amenities and the town and train station is close by.
