Visit Meols Beach

Meols Beach is between Hoylake and Leasowe on the Wirral peninsula in Merseyside. Like the other beaches in the area, Meols beach is renowned for its beautiful sunsets and expansive views across Liverpool Bay.

The beach here is sandy, providing ample space for beachcombing and long walks. At low tide, the beach is huge, while at high tide, only a small strip of shingle remains exposed.

There area behind the Wirral Coastguard Rescue Station is mainly residential, with holiday parks backing the dunes towards Leasowe.

You can walk all the way along Meols Parade towards Hoylake, or the other way through the dunes and the Wirral Circular Trail.

The beach is also a great spot for birdwatching, The beach and its surrounding areas are home to various wildlife, making it a great spot for birdwatching. Particularly in the winter.

Meols beach is dog friendly all year round, there are no restrictions and lots of room to roam.
