Visit Thorpeness Beach
Thorpeness beach on the Suffolk coast is a lovely unspoilt stretch brimming with coastal wildlife. A truly relaxing place for a weekend away.
This beach is lovely for long walks. Walk along the beach or take the footpath from the end of North End Avenue, towards Sizewell.
Stop in at the Thorpeness Heritage Hut. Over the road behind the beach is the BPAW Thorpeness Mere, a nature reserve. Here on the beautiful boating lake, you can hire rowing boats for the afternoon.
Afterwards head to the tearoom for refreshments.
