Southwold Denes

Visit Southwold Denes

Southwold Denes or ‘The Denes’ is a sand and shingle beach, just along Ferry road, from Southwold main beach. Generally quieter, that being said, on a hot day it can get busy quickly.

Park on the road, and walk over the grassy dunes to get to the beach.

At the southern end of the beach you reach the mouth of the river Blythe. There is a holiday park, RNLI lifestation and the Alfred Corry Lifeboat Museum.

Southwold Denes is dog-friendly.
