Octonauts Land at Brighton Marina
Captain Barnacles and Peso, heroes of the Octonauts crew, arrived in Brighton on Thursday in dramatic style.
The larger-than-life characters from CBeebies hit series Octonauts arrived by powerboat at Brighton Marina today, courtesy of Brighton Water Tours.
Toddlers from the Brighton Day Nursery were on the jetty to greet them and were eager to meet their underwater heroes.
“We’re hosting Captain Barnacles and Peso at the Sea Life centre for three weeks from March 23rd to April 14th,” explained Sea Life’s Laura Sackett.
“Children love the Octonauts and since the series is all about exploring and protecting the undersea world and rescuing stricken sea creatures they could hardly be more fitting guests.”
Brighton is the first stop on a nationwide tour by the Octonauts and it seemed only proper that they should make their entrance by sea.
More than 15 two-to-five year olds from the nursery cheered them into dock and gave them an enthusiastic welcome ashore.
Barnacles and Peso had a few gifts to present the children with, including free tickets to experience the Octonaut activities at Sea Life first-hand with their families.
