Visit Pentewan Beach
Once a thriving port, today Pentewan Sands, just north of Mevagissey Harbour is a popular family holiday destination. There is a large holiday camp backing the beach and on the other side of St Austell river, is the old harbour basin. The channel to the harbour has long since silted up and now make up part of the beach.
Pentewan Sands sailing club sits at the far end of the beach. The beach is privately owned, but access is allowed from Pentewan village.
There is limited space at the Pentewan village car park.
Dog friendly with restrictions from April 30 – October 30 between hours 8am and 4pm
