Mewslade Bay

Visit Mewslade Bay

For a secluded beach experience on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales, Mewslade Bay may be just what you’re looking for. This hidden gem is located just south of Rhosilli Bay. To get there you can park in the farm field car park and take a half-mile stroll down a hill through woods and fieldsto the bottom of the valley. Once you arrive, you’ll need to climb over and down some rocks to access the sand, but it’s worth the effort.

Just be aware that there won’t be any beach at high tide. When the tide goes out, you can explore small caves and arches along the shore. The beach opens up as the tide recedes, giving you plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As it’s off the beaten path, there are no toilets or shops available, but on the plus side, it’s dog-friendly all year round.
