Just a few minutes from the town, Llantwit Major Beach forms part of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. The beach is popular with surfers and walkers along the coastal path.

The beach is rocky with sand at low tide, ideal for family days out fossil hunting and exploring the rockpools. There is a beach cafe for refreshments and parking on the seafront.
