Visit Sandgate Beach

Between Hythe and Folkestone, Sandgate Beach is a quiet shingle beach with rows of cottages along the seafront. There is a small esplanade, where you can enjoy a stroll along the sea front and visit the remains of Sandgate Castle.

There are plenty of facilities and parking nearby.

Did you Know? Sandgate has a rich naval and military history.

Stay on the seafront at the Sandgate Hotel for a coastal break.

This beach is dog friendly with some restrictions between Sandgate Castle to Battery Point from 1st May through to September 30.

This beach is …

  • Dog friendly with restrictions during the summer
