Blue Flag Award winning Ramsgate Main Sands is a popular beach in Kent just east of the Royal Harbour and Marina. Whether you’re planning a day trip or a seaside break with the whole family, you’ll find plenty of things to keep you entertained.

The sandy beach a favourite with families during the summer time has a promenade running alongside and cafes and restaurants for refreshments.

There are activities for the whole family with shops and children’s amusements nearby and facilities including deckchairs and sun loungers for hire and toilets. There are lifeguards are on duty in the holidays.

Sightseers can take a tour of the war time Ramsgate Tunnels which sheltered thousands of people during WWII air raids.

This beach is dog friendly with restrictions during the summer from 1 May to 30 September each year.

Parking is convenient for day trippers with car parks close to the beach front.
