Blue Flag award winning Scarborough North Bay beach is is a flat sandy beach a little quieter than neighbouring Scarborough South Bay.

The beach is popular with families with beach chalets available for hire and great for water sports including surfing and windsurfing.

Scarborough North Bay attractions on the beach front include the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, to the north of the beach is the award winning Sea Life Marine Sanctuary The marine sanctuary is great for the kids and adults love it too. See the marinelife, including penguins, seals, sea horses, otters, octopus and even sharks.

Historical sites in the area include, the stunning Scarborough Castle and the Rotunda Museum is a fascinating place for a visit..

Back on the beach the North of the Bay there are rocky outcrops great for rockpooling at low tide.

The beach is patrolled by an RNLI qualified lifeguard service during the summer season
