Visit Sandhaven Beach
Sandhaven Beach in South Tyneside is an award winning wide golden sandy beach perfect for a day out playing in the sand and or enjoying the seaside amusements.
The northern end of the beach has lots of family entertainment including the Ocean Beach Pleasure Park and the Dunes Adventure Island,.
During the summer holidays there are sandcastle competitions and beach events for all the family. There is deck chair hire available from the Summer Hire Centre under the walkway on the beach.
The south side of the beach becomes more natural with grassy dunes and a rocky outcrop, Trow Point.
There is parking on the seafront along the promenade.
